Ana Gabriela Rodríguez is a sculptor who has been making jewelry for 13 years, and since the beginning her artwork is strongly linked to Art.
She majored Sculpture in 1997. In 2000, was invited to teach Sculpture in Taxco, Gro. México. Taxco is a town of Silver crafters. So to start to work with silver was consequent, and immersed in a Silver jewelry Town, Gabriela started creating small format sculptures that became portable soon.
One of the most important objectives of Gabriela, is to merge jewelry design and the technique with her own expression in other art forms (Sculpture and drawing). An enjoyable proccess has came up by putting these together and making one single discourse. In her work, technique plays a very important role; because the technique is not just the way to make an object but it is used as an expressive mean.
