Graduated in Industrial Design at the Iberoamerican University and the Royal College of Art in London, Cristina Celis has taught at the Anahuac University, the Autonomous Metropolitan University and the Tecnológico de Monterrey. Recipient of national and international awards, including the Premio Mexico, the ICSID Philips Award, and the Ruth Drew Award, her work has been exhibited at museums and galleries in Mexico, U.S.A. and Argentina.
She currently heads the Taller Tierra y Plata where she produces ceramic and silver objects and teaches workshops on creative techniques.
Celis´ creations speak about memory, daily rituals and everyday life.  Her pieces are made essentially from stoneware, porcelain and silver. Her playful repertoire ranges between abstract and figurative elements.
